The Annual Assembly of Associates of the Centre for Criminal and Tax Law (Centro di Diritto Penale e Tributario -CDPT),the association of experts in EU law that works to protect financial interests in the European Union, is scheduled for 21 February in Turin.

Speaking at the usual study session will be Federico Boncompagni, a lawyer with Studio Cagnola&Associati.
In particular, Mr Boncompagni’s speech will focus on the changes introduced in the criminal-tax system by Italian Legislative Decree no. 124/2019 converted into Italian Law no. 157/2019.

Mr Boncompagni’s speech will also focus on confiscation as set out in article 12-ter of Italian Legislative Decree 74/2000. In particular, it will highlight the critical aspects of the provision that introduced “extended” or “disproportionate” confiscation in the event of a conviction or plea bargain for some of the tax offences set out in Italian Legislative Decree 74/2000: a particularly effective tool in the hands of justice for the fight against tax evasion.
